Old News

Yikes! Reality check, we were rudely awaken from a beautiful dream. I know this is old news and I should be posting of a romantic Valentines Day, but having the opportunity to go to such a beautiful escape was an early Valentine date for us. So no we didn't do anything special on the 14th, we had already celebrated it. ;)

Our last day in Hawaii was so much fun, we site scene around the North Shore where we saw some of the tallest waves being surfed on. Toured the Waimea Valley botanical gardens and water fall, where John even got to swim in. We saw the most beautiful plants and flowers throughout. It felt like being in a jungle with tall twirled trees, fruit trees, cocunut trees, and a variety of flowers throughout. Some of the rocks even had plants growing on them. We also toured the Dole plantation, there we took a short train ride around the pineapple crops and learned how they are grown, and harvested. We saw sugar cane, mango, bananna trees and other fruits. The pineapple maze was fun too! We couldn't end the day without trying the famous hawaiian shaved ice with icecream on the bottom and other toppings such as black beans. It was yummy except for the beans part. To end our evening we had a romantic dinner at a restaurant called Roys located at the resort we stayed at. The food there was delicious and the atmosphere couldn't be better. Over all our last day was enjoyable and filling! Can't wait to go back soon!
This is how big and tall some of the trees were

The waves were trully big except the photographer didn't catch them on time

Saturdays sunset was as amazing as the other days, I love this picture
