The Best Lu' Au

Tuesday- Today we skipped our morning run because we wanted to watch the Presidential inauguration. Afterwards we headed out to the Polynisean Cultural Center for an all day Lu’Au event. They are known to host one of the best Lu’Au in Oahu. It was about an hour scenic drive from our resort, on the north shore. On our way there we saw the Dole plantation, Hawaii temple and the BYU campus. Although it was raining we were able to snap some pictures of the temple from our car. As the day progressed the rain stopped and we were able to have a great time. The event was amazing, it was set up of seven native villages in which visitors got a chance to participate in the daily adventures of Hawaiian and other South Pacific cultures. Our package included; a fresh flower lei’ greeting, authentic Hawaiian dinner, a hula dance and music show, and the evening ended with what they call a “Horizons Night Show”, which happened to be one of our favorites. We were very impressed with all the talented students and staff, and all their hard work and time they all spend to make this event come alive. It was very well worth every penny spent.
